See the MetaMatrix releases page for links to other releases. A full set of documentation is available for MetaMatrix's product suites.
Release Overview
This release builds upon Release 5 SP2, addressing outstanding known issues and adding some minor enhancements.
The following are several highlights from the 5.0 SP3 Release Notes:
- MetaMatrix Server. Improved criteria pushdown for Left Outer Joins. Added the capability to push criteria down the right side of a Left Outer Joins.
- MetaIntegration Bridge. Upgraded MetaIntegration bridge to version 5.1.1.
- ERwin Importer. Added support for ERwin 7 import.
- Indexing Service Improvements. The Indexing Service will synchronize the processing by model ID. This means that if a request is made on the same model, that they will be queued in order so that they are processed one-at-a-time. This will stop the problem when a user is deleting the model and then re-adds (i.e., moving a model from one directory to another). Previously both actions where being processed at the same time, causing the data to be incomplete.
- Connector Bindings Scoped to VDBs. Applies only to the Embedded Query Engine. Previously if two or more VDBs accessed the same data source through a similarly named connector (as in the case of single VDB deployed with multiple versions), only one connector was deployed and that connector was shared among all the deployed sources. With this release, by default every VDB gets its own private connector(s), which will be only used for the data access purposes of that VDBs queries. If customer would like to share a single connector among all the deployed VDBs then they need to explicitly define that connector configuration in the configuration of query engine to override the default behavior.
